This past Wednesday, the Hudson Valley Justice Center hosted its annual Field Day, bringing together staff from all four offices, White Plains, Yonkers, Poughkeepsie, and Newburgh, for a day of connection, collaboration, and celebration. The day kicked off with an insightful training session at the Putnam Library, where we explored themes of client sensitivity and relationship-building. These conversations reinforced HVJC’s core mission of providing compassionate, people-centered advocacy and reminded us of the importance of empathy and trust in every client interaction.
After lunch, the team headed to FDR Park for a fun-filled afternoon of Field Day activities. From trivia to kickball, it was a fantastic opportunity to bond, laugh, and strengthen our inter-office relationships. We also celebrated our July staff birthdays with cookies and cupcakes and officially launched HVJC’s organization-wide Step Challenge, setting the stage for some fun competition for the summer. It was a great day to come together during Office Spirit Week, and it left us feeling inspired, connected, and proud to be part of such a dedicated and spirited team!
