This past Wednesday, HVJC had a great time serving over 200 families at the Ossining Food Pantry at Trinity Church! Several HVJC staff and interns from our White Plains and Newburgh offices distributed masks and HVJC flyers, directed families throughout the building, sorted clothing donations, and provided translation assistance for volunteers registering clients for the pantry’s services. HVJC attends this outreach event on a bimonthly basis, and we are always grateful to be able to assist those facing food insecurity.
An all-volunteer, nonprofit organization in operation since 1988, the Ossining Food Pantry provides a wide range of food items, clothing, and toiletries to local community members in need. In addition to its weekly hours of operation on Wednesdays from 6 pm-8 pm and Thursdays from 10 am-12 pm, the organization also sponsors a Mobile Food Pantry on the first and third Wednesday of each month.
