Another year, another unforgettable HVJC Field Day!
Our annual Field Day brought staff from all four HVJC offices together once again for a day of learning, connection, and plenty of fun.
We kicked off the day at the Putnam Library with two engaging trainings led by Culture Ally: Psychological Safety & Inclusive Workplaces and Microaggressions. These sessions encouraged us to reflect on the importance of understanding one another’s lived experiences, fostering an inclusive workplace, and recognizing ways we can all help create a more supportive environment. Thanks to our fantastic trainers, everyone walked away with valuable insights and practical tools to carry into our daily work.
After enjoying lunch together, we headed over to FDR Park for our annual Field Day festivities! From an exciting round of HVJC Jeopardy to yoga in the sunshine and an impromptu soccer match in celebration of the World Cup, there was no shortage of laughs, teamwork, and friendly competition.
Events like these remind us that building a strong workplace isn’t just about the work we do—it’s also about the relationships we build along the way. Here’s to another successful Field Day, countless memories made, and, of course… the bragging rights until next year! 🏆⚽💙
